Our Speed Monitor / Alarm uses a remote, non-contact Inductive-Proximity Sensor and operates from below 0.1HZ, to over 3KHZ. This range translates from a fraction of an RPM, to over 150,000 RPM capability (depending on the number of pulses per rotation). Alarms will react to user adjusted overspeed AND underspeed conditions.
We designed the Speed Monitor / Alarm to be accurate to within 1% of operating speed with the ability to monitor an 80% speed reduction, while still monitoring up to 199% overspeed condition.
No need for separate instruments to monitor underspeed and overspeed conditions, we do both simultaneously.
The versatile 0 to 255 second adjustable Start-Up Delay allows larger systems the necessary time before activating the alarm mode. An Alarm condition activates the 5-AMP Relay, Visual indication is provided by the Alphanumeric Display and the input pulse monitoring (Status) LED.
Our Speed Monitor / Alarm utilizes a microcontroller & proprietary internal software. Everything is self contained. Operating parameters are accessed using simple Push-Button operation. All adjustable control parameters are clearly displayed. Internal parameter Auto-Scaling provides easy, error-free user set-up.
Calibration is One-Time, and is stored in EE-Prom memory…no battery’s to ever fail! All parameters can be adjusted or changed anytime afterwards, without interfering with the process!
FEATURES: Adjustable parameters include Relay Failsafe condition (RYFS), Start-Up Delay (SDLY) 0~255 seconds, Alarm Delay: Independent 0~255 second delay adjustment for Relay Activate (ADLY) & Relay Clear (CDLY). Independent Hi-Speed Alarm (HSPD) & Low-Speed Alarm (LSPD) set-points. Visual display indicates alarm status condition of “>MAX ” & ” <MIN”.
We also provide a built in, user activated “Self-Test” routine that takes away the guess work associated with system evaluation & system operating parameters verification.
Available in DIN-Rail, Rack or IP54-IP65 (NEMA-4/5) protection enclosure.
